Open Day 2015

Our Ladys is looking forward to our annual Open Day which will be held this Friday the 30th January 2015 from 1pm- 2.30 pm . We look forward to welcoming all prospective parents, giving them a flavour of our school,  providing them with all of the  relevant  information and showcasing a range of fantastic activities the children partake in as well as our superb facilities.

Water Workshop

Today’s water workshop provided the children from 3rd to 6th class with an awareness of water and the importance of water conservation in our daily lives. The children particularly enjoyed performing a range of  water investigations and enjoyed learning interesting, yet shocking facts about the amount of water we use on a daily basis. Do you know that 5 mins in a power shower uses 125 litres of water or that a leaking tap can waste 5 litres in one day? Shocking! This workshop has certainly taught the children to be more conscious and careful  about the amount of water they are using at home and in school and that simple measures such as ensuring a tap isn’t dripping can make the difference!

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal

Once again, some of the children in our school participated in the Christmas Shoe Box appeal. We know that the lucky children who receive these wonderful gifts from the children in our school are delighted with their gift. Thank you to all who participated for showing such kindness and generosity.

Visit to Santa!

The junior children enjoyed a wonderful trip to see Santa who stopped off in St. Tiernan’s Secondary School for a brief visit. All the children received a drink and treats from Santa. Thank You Santa, we really had a great time!

Tesco Community Fundraiser

We are delighted to have raised €337.62 for participating in the Tesco Local  Community Fundraiser ! We would like to extend our gratitude to all members of the community who supported us and look forward to spending the money on school resources. A large thank you to Tesco also!
