In conjunction with ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ we will have a ‘Lá Glas’ in the school on Thursday next 16th. All the pupils are encouraged to be dressed up in Green when they come to school on the day.
During the day they will have an opportunity to participate in some Irish damhsa (dancing), ceol (music), amhránaíocht (singing) agus filíocht (poetry).
And of course the children are always encouraged to speak as much Irish as they can both in the school and in the home environment.
Tá súil againn go mbainfaidh siad sult agus taitneamh as an ‘Lá Glás’.
Le gach dea- mhéin,
Gearóid Ó hÉanacháin
P.S. A reminder from the Parents Association that their current fundraising initiative for a signed Irish Rugby Jersey continues during Seachtain na Gaeilge and the raffle tickets will be available from Parents Association volunteers in the school yard before school starts and at pick up times.
