There is an emerging trend in the education industry towards greater use of technology in the classroom and game-based learning (collectively known as ‘edtech’). Research shows that if used correctly in the classroom technology can enhance a child’s learning experience and improve outcomes.
Our Lady’s prides itself in its pioneering Information Communications and Technology (ICT) facilities.
We are constantly monitoring and researching innovative technologies, and upgrading our existing resources, to keep up to date with ever changing ICT systems suitable for classroom use. Each mainstream classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard.
The school is well supplied with a range of desktops and laptops and other resources such as digital cameras, flip cameras and visualisers are all readily available and utilised by both teachers and children.
iPads are available in the classroom for all children but are particularly suitable for children with learning needs.
