Fifth Class on their bikes!

Fifth Class recently took part in an exciting and valuable cycling skills programme delivered by Cycle Right Ireland. Over the course of several sessions, pupils had the opportunity to develop their confidence, safety awareness, and practical cycling skills.

The programme focused on teaching children how to cycle safely on the road. Pupils learned essential skills such as proper helmet fitting, bike safety checks, signalling, and road positioning. They also practised navigating real-life traffic situations in a safe and supportive environment.

A highlight for many was taking their bikes out on local roads, where they applied everything they had learned. The instructors praised the pupils for their enthusiasm, excellent behaviour, and willingness to learn new skills.

Cycling is a fantastic way to stay active and travel sustainably, and this training has equipped our Fifth Class pupils with the knowledge and confidence to cycle safely in their communities.

A big thank you to the instructors from Cycle Right Ireland for delivering such an engaging and informative programme.

Well done to all involved!
