Bí Cineálta Policy
“Bí Cineálta” means “Be Kind” in Irish and refers to an updated set of anti-bullying procedures for all Irish primary and post-primary schools that came into effect in September 2025.
Child Safeguarding Statement
We regonise that child protection and welfare considerations permeate all aspects of school life and must be reflected in all of the school’s policies, procedures, practices and activities.
Code of Behaviour
Our Code of Behaviour policy is a planned, age appropriate programme that encourages and rewards pupils for positive social behaviour, their work and more importantly effort in all areas of school life.
Emergency Closures Policy
A policy on emergency closures is in the event of severe weather or on Health and Safety grounds such as building maintenance issues.
Enrolment and Admission Policy
Enrolment and Admission Policy in accordance with the provisions of the Education Act 1998 and the Board of Trustees.
Assessment Policy
This policy endeavours to identify at the earliest possible opportunity, children who may have learning difficulties and put in place a school response to their needs.
Substance Use Policy
We aim to protect our pupils from the harmful effects of substance misuse and try to prevent them from using tobacco, alcohol, solvents and illegal drugs.
Homework Policy
Homework is an integral link in the chain of communication between school and home. Parents can monitor the progress of their children through continuous reference to Homework diaries, Homework folders and liaison with teachers.
Exemption from Irish Policy
many of these ‘New Irish’ may be entitled to an exemption from the study of Irish as would children with specific learning difficulties, general learning disabilities and/or sensory impairments.
