Project Work – First Class
First class have been learning all about life in the Philippines this week. They learned about native animals such as the Philippine eagle, whale shark, tarsier and tamaraw and also about famous places and landmarks. There are over 7000 active volcanoes in the Philippines and the children learned about the fanous Mayan volcano. They explored Filipino food and clothing and looked at lots of pictures of the magnificent beaches all long the coastline. First class finished the week by reading stories about the mythical sarimanok bird and creating some beautiful artwork based on these stories.
